A soft landing for everything you've been carrying.
Sixty minutes to be heard in your own words, to understand how your body has been organizing around the demands of your life, and to feel what becomes possible when there's a little more room.
Recognize: A Whole-Person Somatic Assessment
60 minutes • 1:1 • virtual or in person in San Diego $129 • paid at the end of your session
Maybe this sounds familiar.
You wake up and the tension is already there.
By the end of the day, your neck, shoulders & jaw are holding all you didn't have time to feel.
You've done the work. Massage, physical therapy, acupuncture, talk therapy, functional medicine. Some of it helped, for a while.
You understand your patterns. You can name them, trace them, explain them.
And still, something underneath hasn't shifted.
What you're feeling isn't random, and it isn't a sign you've failed at getting better.
Your body has been organizing itself
around what life has asked of you,
often for a very long time.
Those protective responses have their own intelligence.
This session is a place to start listening to them,
rather than working against them.
Chronic neck, back or jaw tension · Migraines · Disrupted sleep · Digestive changes · Racing thoughts or feeling flat · Holding it all together for everyone else
A starting point, not a sales pitch or a quick fix.
This is…
A space to share your experience in your own words, without being rushed or reduced to a diagnosis
A structured assessment of the patterns your system tends to move through
A gentle, experiential somatic exploration so you can feel, not just hear about, what this work is
Practical, take-home support you can use the same day
An honest conversation about next steps, including whether working together is the right fit
✅
This is not…
A medical diagnosis or a replacement for your doctor or therapist
A hands-on bodywork session. We work through conversation, assessment, breath, movement and guided somatic practice.
A big emotional or "trauma release" session. I don't pursue catharsis, especially in a first meeting. Meaningful shifts are often quieter, and more sustainable for it.
A commitment to anything beyond these 60 minutes
❌
Recognize is the front door to working with me.
It's named for what happens here:
you're recognized in your own words, and together
we begin to recognize how your experiences connect.
It's designed to give you clarity about what's
happening in your system, and a felt sense
of what somatic work can offer.
You've done the work.
Functional medicine. Acupuncture. Chiropractic.
Physical therapy. Massage therapy.
Some of it helped, for a while. None of it fully stayed.
That isn't a failure or a sign something isn’t responding.
It’s revealing a system underneath.
A system doing exactly what it learned to do:
brace… protect.. stay ready.
It's an intelligent adaptation to what you've carried.
When so much of the work treats each symptom on its
own, the pattern underneath can keep organizing around
the same sense of threat.
Relief begins somewhere different.
Rather than forcing your body to let go, we create the conditions
that make letting go feel safe enough to happen,
Naturally. Holistically.
Introducing
Relief: A Somatic Unwinding
Relief is a short-term, one-on-one somatic process
designed to lower the pressure of
what has become too much, and
begin making room for what has been too little.
We start by understanding how your system
has organized itself. Then, session by session,
we offer it something it may not have had in a long time:
enough safety, support and space to soften.
What becomes possible
Imagine…
waking with a little more ease already in your body…
Noticing the moment tension starts to build, and finding your feet on the ground, pausing for a breath, before it takes over.
Meeting the people you love with more presence. Saying yes - and no - with less effort.
Having more range: more vitality when you want it, and more capacity to rest when you need it.
For many women, the shifts from Relief show up in how their mood and energy lifts, and the intensity of their symptoms settle.
A clearer mind, a sense of more room to exist inside. Every system has its own timing. Relief isn't a promise of a destination; it's a process of creating the conditions where change can unfold.
how it works
-

Locate
We start with where you are today. What's present, what's most pressing, what's already available to you.
-

Resource
We find what supports you: breath, orientation, sensation, movement, connection. A place to come back to.
-

Notice + Name
We bring gentle attention to sensations, emotions, and protective patterns, without forcing meaning onto them.
-

Navigate
We explore in small, manageable amounts, moving between what's challenging and what's supportive, never staying flooded.
-

Meet + Tend
When something meaningful emerges, we meet it with curiosity and care, including the parts of you that feel resistant, ashamed, or unsure.
-

Integrate
We give the experience room to settle, a return to relative ground, so what you discover can become available in everyday life.

Who You’ll Be Working With
your somatic guide
For 25 years I've worked with bodies through massage, bodywork, movement, and somatics. I've studied over 3,000 hours across holistic, body-based fields, have held two board certifications & practice across seven scopes of practice. I've taught more than 1,000 hours of trauma-informed bodywork and somatics in accredited schools, and developed somatic programs for rehabilitation clinics.
That breadth matters because you aren't one symptom. It lets me meet you with whatever approach best supports your system, rather than fitting you into a single method.
But what I hope you feel most is this: I'm human first. I'll be honest with you about what I can support. I'll stay curious about your experience instead of assuming I know it. And if something isn't landing, I want to hear it.

That question makes so much sense. You've invested time, money, and hope, and you deserve honesty: I can't promise a specific outcome. What I can offer is a process built around your system rather than a protocol, a first-hand experience of the work in your Orientation Session before you commit, and a reassessment at the end so we can both see what has changed.
-
It varies. Shifts often begin small: a deeper breath, a moment of ease, a little more space before you react. For patterns that have been forming for years, sustainable change tends to be gradual. That's part of why Relief spans twelve weeks rather than a few sessions.
-
Massage tends to work with the body. Talk therapy tends to work with the mind and story. Relief works with the relationship between them: sensation, emotion, thought, and protective patterns together. Because I practice across several scopes, I can draw on what your system actually responds to, rather than staying within one method.
-
That's fair. Three payment options are available. And if now isn't the right time for 1:1 care, there are gentler starting points, like [self-paced course / free podcast], until it is.
-
Relief is designed to take something off your plate, not add to it. Sessions are weekly for the first month only, then every other week. There's no homework to perform, just one or two simple practices if they feel supportive.
-
Your scope disclaimer. Suggested: Relief is a somatic educational and therapeutic process and isn't a substitute for medical or mental health treatment. It can complement the care you're already receiving.
-
Yes. Relief begins with your Nervous System Assessment + Somatic Orientation Session, so your care plan is built from your actual experience. It's also a chance for you to see whether working with me feels right.
-
No. We work in small, manageable amounts, and your consent guides every step. You never need to share more than you choose to.
-
